What's the role?

As a Customer Program Manager for Automotive OEM (Map Making & Software Solutions), you will be responsible for managing customer-facing programs that focus on delivering cutting-edge mapping and software solutions tailored to automotive needs. You will serve as the key point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring that customer requirements are understood, solutions are delivered as promised, and programs are executed efficiently. This role requires strong project management skills, an understanding of automotive software solutions, and excellent customer relationship management.

Program Management:

  • Lead customer programs involving map-making and software solutions for the automotive sector.
  • Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, timelines, deliverables, and milestones for each program.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, product, and sales) to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and met.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary contact for automotive customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, and technical teams.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or concerns raised by customers during program execution.

Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, development, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions that meet customer specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the program and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve issues proactively to avoid delays or disruptions in program delivery.

Customer Feedback & Improvement:

  • Gather customer feedback during and after program delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with internal teams to enhance processes, products, and services based on customer feedback and emerging industry trends.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to both internal leadership and customers.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities, decisions, and outcomes for future reference and improvement.

Who are you?

Required Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience, preferably within the automotive or software industries.
  • Proven track record in managing customer-facing programs and delivering complex technical solutions.
  • Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or automotive customers is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of automotive mapping, navigation systems, and related software solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
  • Familiarity with OEM and Tier 1 supplier relationships is a plus.
  • German language skills is a plus
