Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Manager - Financial Control
Location: Gillingham / Hybrid
Overview:
Reporting to the Financial Control manager, this Assistant Financial Accountant role will focus on monthly reporting, internal controls and assisting with internal and external audits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collation and processing of revenue recognition documentation on a quarterly basis.
- Monthly roll forward reporting on HFM and completion of footnotes for quarterly reporting.
- Completion of Quarterly SOX tests
- Ensuring completion of standard close checklists, JDE code set up and monthly journal testing
- Assist Financial Accountants with annual BDO audit requests
- Provide back up for Treasury tasks
- National Statistics surveys
- Completion of month end tasks including AP debit reclasses and goods in transit adjustments.

Job Skills & Experience Required:
To succeed in this role, you'll need the following:
Qualifications:
- AAT qualified or working towards, or on an apprenticeship scheme
- Be proficient in excel at an advanced level
- Significant experience of working with large & complex data sets
