Description and Requirements

The Sr Cyber Security Engineer continuously monitors the vulnerability of the enterprise and develops engineering solutions to improve the security of the Healthfirst infrastructure. The Sr Cyber Security Engineer applies expertise across the Cyber Security discipline by demonstrating competency in IT Infrastructure and Application Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop learning and awareness programs to cultivate a culture of security awareness.
  • Ensure Healthfirst's security awareness program meets industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, as well as, communicates our security polices and requirements, so that employees know, understand, and can follow them.
  • Identify the top human risks to Healthfirst and the behaviors we need to change to mitigate that risk. Develop and maintain a security awareness program that supports changing these risky behaviors ensuring HF employees act in a secure manner to help reduce risk to the organization.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
  • Understand the concept of information security/human risks and the different elements and determine how to mitigate identified risks.
  • Work closely with leadership across the organization to understand security challenges and tailor training to meet business and compliance requirements
  • Ability to develop comprehensive security awareness campaigns to ensure the organization is informed of current security risks and how they should avoid falling victim.
  • Management and leadership responsibility, experience in instructional design, having built an enterprise security program for an organization larger than $5B annual revenue
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the Security team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Cyber Security Related Degree
  • Basic Security Awareness knowledge and experience giving training to non-security personnel.
  • Knowledge of KnowBe4 and LivingSecurity security awareness platforms.
  • Ability to form complex communications/messages in a simple, clear, and concise manner to target various departments cross Healthfirst.
  • Project management experience to help in planning, managing, and maintaining a complex, organization wide program.
  • Experience providing information security support and/or solutions
  • IT engineering or Security Engineering experience

Hiring Range:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $131,900 - $190,570
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $117,400 - $174,675

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in "good faith" would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
