Description and Requirements
The Product Owner will help create, deliver and maintain best-in-class claims reimbursement configuration workflows and operational processes and controls. The Product Owner represents the reimbursement configuration team in creating, assigning and tracking the progress of user stories, prioritizing the work development across the team, and ensuring clear communication flows within the team and with other business areas. This individual will manage the intake and oversight of the reimbursement configuration inventory using the Agile methodology and the VersionOne platform. The role is responsible to be constantly thinking through the processes and needs of the team and the business to support an efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of claims reimbursement configuration. The individual will help shape and execute an effective strategy that meets the department's production and quality goals.

- Define and communicate the overall vision, objectives and goals of the business. Articulate the minimum viable product needs. Create, refine, socialize and prioritize the work inventory backlog.
- Enable delivery of reimbursement configuration work by creating, owning and refining well-formed user stories and artifacts that outline the scope, objective and acceptance criteria for the work, and tracking the work end-to-end through to completion.
- Contribute to the maturity, performance and growth of the Reimbursement Configuration team.
- Manage daily stand-up meetings to assign and monitor story progress and resolve barriers to delivery.
- Provide guidance on UAT test cases, organize and facilitate UAT testing, track test results, and work with the team to resolve issues.
- Represent the team, when needed, to external stakeholders, leaders and other teams to ensure alignment and understanding of work status and outcomes.
- Ensure the team follows enterprise Agile standards.
- Champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas.
- Ability to align and motivate a team to achieve objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and redesign that will allow us to accomplish objectives more quickly and at a higher level of probability
- Work one on one with team members to ensure their growth and accountability to the team is achieved.
- Effectively communicates relevant information to all levels of the organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build, prioritize and define workflows and requirements
- Reinforces team approach throughout organization both on cross-functional projects and internal initiatives
- Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization
- Create dynamic and a spirit of teamwork and collaboration
- Complement the broader team with high quality and partnership
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies
- Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen business relationships
- All other related and/or additional responsibilities that may be required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile environment as a Product Owner
- Experience and track record of success directing the efforts of developers as a project manager or product owner in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts (preferably Agile/SCRUM)
- Hands on experience in leading process improvement initiatives
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution with a preferred area of study in technology, business, project management or other associated field
- Experience working in healthcare industry with knowledge of provider contract reimbursement terms, code sets (HCPCS, ICD10, DRGs, CPT, etc.), and claims processing practices
Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $114,000 - $164,730
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $97,800 - $145,520
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
