The Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Architect at Healthfirst is a key member of the team who focuses on identifying strategic opportunities and designing new systems. This role works directly with Product Owners and Senior IT leaders to craft technology strategy by providing deep technical insights on industry trends and organizational needs. For new technologies, the I&O Architect researches and formulates recommendations to Senior IT leaders, who may have limited prior experience in the technology. For existing technologies, this role works with Product Owners to support the maturation of the product and builds backlogs to achieve strategic aims.

- Discover and design technical operational solutions to streamline processes that enhance service efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, increase availability, improve security and enhance the customer experience through collaboration with IT teams.
- Create and manage strategies and initiatives for operational optimization & process improvement plans/approaches
- Provide technical leadership on major incidents ensuring corrective action plan is accurate and limits additional exposure to interdependent systems.
- Lead technical teams through changes and validations during major incidents and document actions for analysis during Post Incident Review sessions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on process optimization opportunities and challenges.
- Analyze and document current state business processes to support technology or product led initiatives to optimize operational workflow with known constraints.
- Investigate and analyze performance of processes to identify opportunities and solutions to reduce process time and standardize workflows.
- Collaborate across and communicate with Product, technical leaders and frontline staff to gather feedback, identify pain points, and co-create solutions that address operational inefficiencies.
- Develop Operational Run Books for new technologies being introduced into the environment through partnerships across all Program teams and Operational support teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement performance monitoring frameworks and reporting to track the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities for further optimization and refinement.

Minimum Qualifications):
- A high school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated mastery of Cloud offerings in the Public Cloud requiring the ability to explain and teach complex principles
- Demonstrated experience designing secure systems that scale without complex operational overhead to maintain
- Expert level experience creating design documentation for enterprise ready solutions
- Demonstrated mastery leading technology initiatives from ideation to enterprise operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree from an accredited institution or work experience equivalent.
- Experience leading without direct reports through influence
- Proficient experience across the Full IT Stack (Development, Security, Testing, Systems, Network, and Database)
- Experience creating and presenting complex technical operational solutions with senior leadership.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
- Experience supporting Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD integration.
- Expert understanding of cloud security best practices and implementing a least privileged model of access in AWS.
- Deep troubleshooting skills that involve analysis of logs, network traces, configuration data, automation tools to resolve issues until end-to-end systems are functioning.
- Experience with Kubernetes, deploying, and supporting containerized applications.
- Experience with system health monitoring and optimizing performance following SRE principles with tools like (CloudWatch, New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, Opsview, ExtraHop, CloudTrail, etc.)
- Experience working in regulated and/or high-security environments and industries (PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.).

Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $162,600 - $248,795
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $139,000 - $212,670
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
