Must have an Accident and Health license. Reporting to the VP, Medicare Sales and Retention, the Director of Medicare Telesales is responsible for developing and executing the Medicare Telesales strategy, both internally and with external vendors/partners. The Director orchestrates cross-functional initiatives with a strong business sense and attention to detail. The individual will work collaboratively with the Sales and Retention teams, as well as across multiple functional areas, to align resources and effort around the achievement of sales plan. Director, Medicare Telesales must work with her/his channel leaders in Field and Broker in a team approach, ensuring alignment across all channels and in synch with our broader sales and retention strategies. Success will be driven by leading a high-performing Telesales unit, driving strategy development and execution, building and maintaining strong relationships in sales and our matrix organization, business owner mindset and the ability to successfully lead in a rapidly-changing and often ambiguous dynamic. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops, refines, and executes Medicare telesales strategy, including partnership with Dial America and across the various sales channels
- Leads efforts with supporting areas (e.g., Analytics, Development, etc.) and stakeholders within the Medicare Sales team to define and implement enhancements to tele sales capabilities
- Leads cross-functional meetings to drive to decisions, identifying and tracking follow-ups
- Provides decision support by working with stakeholders to distill information and organize recommendations with leadership. Anticipates requests for additional information, supports with research and analysis, and surfaces key takeaways
- Manages range of telesales initiatives of varying complexity, shifting from strategic to tactical as needed
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency and improvement in all initiatives
- Supports VP in the development and management of the annual Medicare tele sales operating budget
- Partners with Legal, Regulatory and Compliance to ensure compliance with CMS regulations and Healthfirst policies and procedure
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required or relevant experience
- Accident & Health license
- 5 + years of experience in a rapid-growth environment
- Past leadership position managing a Telesales team
- Knowledge and understanding of Medicare Advantage, as well as broader the Medicare product spectrum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Strength in creating clarity from complexity and ambiguity
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, delivering messaging (written, oral, presentation) that are clear and persuasive
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, work in teams, and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment.

Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
