Healthfirst's 2025 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 2, 2025. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience, that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. Position Summary: Claims Audit & Extracts is a fast-paced, innovative team supporting our enterprise with claims data and analytics. Our mission is to provide support for our Claims Operations business unit with development insights to our robust claims data. We are looking for a technical business analyst who is curious to learn about a healthcare payer system, business operations and the claims that drive outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the technical data solution design and development discussion and activities
- Query and manipulate data (using Tableau /Alteryx/SQL/Python) to identify variance and root cause, analyze trend, summarize findings, and develop recommendations for stakeholders
- Create and maintain documentation for AWS Data Mart and Data Assets
- Create documentation on application specification, capabilities, and processes associated with the assigned projects demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare routine reports (claims, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.) and other duties as assigned
- Align with Agile program and business teams on technological roadmap and strategic goals
- Promote an environment conducive to creativity, info exchange, and change
- Facilitating analysis sessions and delivering presentations using Tableau and/or Powerpoint
- Reporting and data analysis using Tableau/DBeaver/Excel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
- Will not require sponsorship for employment
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with SQL in creating, editing, and executing queries
- Experience in creating Tableau/Power BI visualizations, dashboard, and presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advance) for data analytics
- Experience in facilitating analysis sessions and delivering presentations
- Experience in gathering and converting business requirements to data and programming logic
- Ability to communicate complex technical context to all levels in the organization including business stakeholders and executives
Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in "good faith" would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
