Healthfirst's 2025 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 2, 2025. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. Position Summary: The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for reviewing production data and policies, developing micro-training programs, identifying trends, and conducting root cause analysis for the purpose of making recommendations for process improvements in compliance with any and all state, federal, and Healthfirst requirements for the benefit of our Members and Providers. Incumbents will assist Management by gathering data, identifying useful information, recommending and supporting decision-making in support of departmental and company goals. The Continuous Improvement Specialist owns project goals by developing project plans, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, providing timely reporting of issues that impact progress and resolving conflicts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document and/or evaluate current documentation of operation processes to determine opportunities for process improvements to affect quality and efficiency of production.
- Focus on process quality, cost and performance as a key to process improvement. Conduct assessments and ensure compliance with standards for each process.
- Gathers relevant information; considers a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions.
- Identifies issues and prioritizes efforts accordingly and align actions and decisions for focus on critical strategic issues.
- Conducts and analyze process data, develops and executes initiatives for process improvements. During process analysis he will review corresponding jobs guides for correctness and compliance, process flow and quality practices.
- Collaborate with different teams within the company to increase operational efficiencies and enhance the customer experience.
- Create of micro-learning training videos utilizing PPT, Vyond and/or other training applications available within HF
- Develop job aids, micro-training programs, surveys, and quizzes for CCO
- Facilitate meetings to capture requirements, meeting minutes, and create any additional reporting analysis for micro-training outcomes
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
- Will not require sponsorship for employment
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
- Knowledge of project management concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Demonstrated experience of implementing improvements
- Experience working with all levels of management
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
- Self-Motivated with high level of responsibility and professionalism
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in resolving problems
Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in "good faith" would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
