Healthfirst's 2025 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 2, 2025. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience, that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. Position Summary: In today's competitive landscape, organizations are increasingly focused on enhancing operational efficiency and member satisfaction. In the Delegated Vendor Management (DVM) space, incorporating an intern would be critical for us in our shared service functions along with leveraging fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and dedicated support to improve overall member experiences. This role will support market intelligence by building new analytic tools for strategic planning to support proper governance, including all lines of business and market segments - both existing and new. This role also will support the aggregation of our diverse and everchanging Medicare Stars portfolio of initiatives to support our supplemental benefits for members/providers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management of our Medicare Stars & CAHPs portfolio for Vision, DME, Transportation, and OTC
- Dashboard build out and additional analytics to assist with our UM results, oversight, and utilization for the 850k authorization requests overseen by our delegated vendors
- Support UM Modernization efforts - aggregate updates, track the activities associated with the CPT removals, ensure vendors have the proper gold carding criteria and operationalize it, help build out the innovation pipeline, track Artificial Intelligence use cases and proposed value.
- Design, create, modify, support and maintain regular reports, including but not limited to a weekly news summary
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by senior management
- Assist with vendor reporting/data management & analysis, including 2025 go-live of additional vendor KVI auditing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
- Will not require sponsorship for employment
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
Preferred Qualifications:
- Senior candidate: on track to graduate with a Bachelor's degree (Spring 2025), preferably in analytics, public health, business, economics, or another related field; Master's degree candidate: preferably in public health, business, or health administration
- Experience developing market research and competitive analysis
- Knowledge of data visualization products, such as Tableau/PowerBI
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and synthesize information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively present ideas and build consensus with stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills, and both written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to translate details and complex dynamics into consumable and actionable intelligence for both senior executives and field staff
Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in "good faith" would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
