Job Description:


Under the direction of the Manager of Perioperative Services and in compliance with the stated goals of MidState Medical Center, the Perioperative Coordinator of the Pre-op Chart Center will coordinate and direct the activities of staff in accomplishing the goal of patient preparedness for the surgical experience.  Utilizes the nursing process to facilitate patient assessment and implementation of patient care plan in the perioperative arena. This position has been centralized to cover the Preadmission Center for MidState Medical Center.   Primary location will be on the Hospital of Central Connecticut campus with the possibility to occasionally rotate to the MidState campus to cover Preadmission Testing.


Qualifications

  • RN license in the state
    of Connecticut; BSN required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory
    standards
  • Five years surgical nursing
    experience required preferably focusing on the management of complex
    surgical patients.  
  • Leadership experience preferred.
