Hachette Book Group (HBG) is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join the Special Markets team in their NYC office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, creative, and fast-paced sales team and a channel that works with corporate and proprietary clients, subscription boxes, early literacy programs, authors, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Administrative support, including order processing/tracking , inventory checks, and general account support.
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and imprint reports
- Gather and enter first print estimates for the entire department
- Prepare quarterly sales highlights updates
- Market research: Research trends, industries, and compile lead lists for title-specific outreach.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant office experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication is a must. This job requires a great deal of customer support and internal collaboration.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment with excellent follow-through skills
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel (V-look up/Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with InDesign or Canva a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with numbers
The position is based out of our NYC office on a hybrid schedule. Please note our current hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.

The compensation for this position is $53,200. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
