Hachette Book Group is looking for a Sales Coordinator to support our Gift & Specialty Sales Department. The coordinator will focus on operations through strong customer service, order processing, and inventory management. This position involves logistic management, preparation of account presentations and analytical support.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily support our Key Account Managers working on National Accounts like TJ Maxx, Anthropologie, and World Market, just to name a few.
- Prepare sales materials for onsite, offsite and virtual meetings; produce PowerPoint presentations, create sell sheets, perform Excel data entry, and compile and mail sales samples.
- Create and run daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports; analyze data and highlight trends; process and track sales orders; coordinate inventory management; assist in ensuring the smooth day to day operations of the Key Account Managers
- Assist with sales related projects and initiatives in the gift sales department as assigned
- Liaise with in house departments and external sales representatives as necessary
- Attend occasional trade shows to support the business

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a sales support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills are essential
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a busy environment with changing priorities
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of MS Office, Excel (V-look up/Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with Photoshop, EDI order processing, MarketTime and Edelweiss a plus.
- Interest in the sales side of publishing
The position is based out of our NYC office on a hybrid schedule. Please note our current hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.

The compensation for this position is $53,200. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
