The Payroll Coordinator will report to the Payroll Manager and will support all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls for 1,600 employees. This role will work closely with Human Resources and other departments. This individual will be driven, highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, self-directed and own the payroll function.
This role would be part-time, 20 hours a week.
Pay rate: $30/hour
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the payroll vendors to process all payrolls for employees in the American and Canadian regions
- Maintain employee payroll records, including timesheets, work records, and other relevant data
- Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to payroll
- Strong work ethics with the ability and flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods such as payroll submission remittance deadline

Requirements
- 2-3 years of payroll processing experience
- Possess a working knowledge of payroll-related requirements and regulations for federal, state and local payroll laws
- Maintain confidentiality in all assignments and in all information obtained
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of payroll software, preferably UKG
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
- Accounting degree a plus
