Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, a division of Hachette Book Group, seeks a Marketing Assistant to join our collaborative and enthusiastic Integrated Marketing team. This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Marketing Manager and VP, Executive Director of Marketing
- Contribute to marketing campaign brainstorming and content creation
- Project manage, write copy, and craft creative briefs for marketing collateral, including promotional items, advertising, graphics, downloadable resources, and e-newsletters
- Assist with planning and execution of retailer assets, metadata, influencer campaigns, competitive analysis, industry data tracking, and mailings
- Contribute to the NOVL YA community and LBYR social media channels by participating in videos, podcasts, in-person events, and other fan engagement efforts
- Write posts, quizzes, and other content for the NOVL and LBYR blogs
- Photograph books for social media and retailer websites
- Manage publisher-owned Amazon marketing, including asset uploading, module creation, and metadata auditing
- Update the division’s websites: LBYR.com, theNOVL.com, LBArtistAward.com, Kids.JamesPatterson.com, ToddParr.com, and brand sites
- Partner with other teams and departments, including Creative Services, Publicity, School & Library, Editorial, and Sales
- Organize, prepare materials for, and actively participate in meetings
- Handle administrative responsibilities for the team

Qualifications:
- Interest in book publishing, with a particular enthusiasm for children’s and young adult books
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop), and photography
- Additional experience beneficial with video editing (Premiere), CMS (Wordpress, Squarespace), or other relevant tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable being on camera and on social media talking about children’s and young adult books
- Self-starter with an ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-observant, and collaborative environment
- Proactive problem solver who is creative, positive, goal-driven, and detail-oriented

The compensation for this position is $47,500. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
