Little, Brown and Company is looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the VP, Associate Publisher and collaborate with the broader marketing team on administrative and design projects. The marketing assistant will work closely with the Associate Publisher to coordinate sales team materials, schedule and manage weekly/seasonal meetings, and own regular administrative processes within the division. The marketing assistant will also collaborate with our marketing creative team to design digital advertisements, social media content, and other promotional items. This role will work within all imprints of Little, Brown, including LB Spark, Voracious, Mulholland, and Algonquin.

This is a NYC based role. Please note our current hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.
  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Support the VP, Associate Publisher with administrative duties such as scheduling, expense reporting, conference room management, and more
  • Oversee galley ordering and distribution for marketing and editorial teams
  • Collaborate on seasonal sales meetings by inputting key sales information into internal systems, updating marketing campaign summaries, creating and distributing sales packets and PowerPoint presentations
  • Organize and execute book and galley mailings 
  • Design corporate presentations and pitch packets in PowerPoint
  • Collaborate with the marketing creative team to design digital advertisements, social media graphics, and other promotional items for public use
  • Research and recommend compelling digital content that increases consumer engagement and acquisition across web and social channels 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: 
  • Design experience preferred, specifically in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience designing in Canva
  • Knowledge of and interest in current and forward-thinking graphic design trends in digital, print, and motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects not required, but preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Creative, adaptable, highly organized, motivated, and possessing a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Basecamp and Notion
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task to keep numerous projects on track in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present concepts, results, and actionable plans to colleagues
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing best practices, tactics, and strategies
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Basecamp, etc. a plus
The compensation range for this position is $47,500. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
