SUMMARY:
Hachette Book Group seeks strong Full-Stack Java Developer to develop, maintain and design enterprise applications. You should be highly driven, quick learner, have excellent communication and be a proven leader. Must have experience developing web applications with responsive web design and a java backend using Web services, Rest API’s, Micro Services, AngularJS/ReactJS and MS SQL database.

- Bring leadership skills applied in a technical context with a team of developers.
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise applications built using Java, AngularJS, MS SQL and frameworks.
- Be a key leader in the agile process fostering collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency.
- Steer and mentor a team towards a common technical vision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- At least 7 years of overall development experience
- 4+ years demonstrated real world experience in: Enterprise web application development, Java, Software engineering principles such as software design patterns, Database principles with MS-SQL, Oracle.
- Knowledge and experience in web service design and implementation
- JavaScript framework experience such as Angular
- Experience with Liferay is a plus
- Experience with mobile development including native, hybrid and web
- Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles
- Understanding of BDD and TDD styles
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers
- Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate

The compensation range for this position is $120,000-$130,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
