For schoolyear 2024/2025 we have an open spot in our Procurement team for an intern! You will be based at out HQ in Eindhoven and work together with a great team of colleagues!
We are open to learn you everything there is to know about Procurement within a global Supply Chain organization and will make sure you will have a challenging but great period with us!
What you do on a typical day as intern in our Procurement department:
- Administrative Procurement Support Services
- Under the direct supervision of the Head of Procurement / Procurement Specialists, you will provide a variety of specialized and non-specialized transactional support services, ensuring consistency and quality of work steps completed, as well as optimal information flow:
- The main role will be to write the GXO BeNe (Belgium and The Netherlands) Procurement procedures and policies, documenting, including archiving, communicating location of storage for access and process flow chart;.
- Assist in drafting bidding documents collecting data, designing RFPs, evaluation reports and contract award submissions, ensuring consistency in format and content.
- Assist in the preparation of Purchase Orders, Contracts, Contracts or their Amendment.
- Prepare reports, tables, charts etc. applying technical skills and knowledge in formatting and presentations;
- Prepare Statistics and reports, including on Procurement volume;
- Undertake routine follow up action on procurement on behalf of the supervisor;
- Maintain status reports on procurement activities and work in progress;
- Actively work with suppliers/vendors and internal stakeholders to provide and exchange information on a variety of issues in procurement processes and transactions, to deliver correct and timely services.

What we are looking for in a Procurement intern:
- You are currently Bachelor/Master student - preferable Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or related;
- Excellent communication skills in at least English (we prefer Dutch as well)
- Expected medium level knowledge in Office tools including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel;
- It's a plus if you have knowledge in Visio and PowerBI or willing to learn.
