Here at GXO, we're looking for a Shift Supervisor to join us at our Carlsberg site in Heathfield Way, Northampton. You'll effectively manage site operations and the associated workforce, ensuring adherence to all Company and legal requirements. You'll also ensure effective execution of the daily plan, whilst using effective communication and resolution of issues with the Brewery (Customer), NDC, Shunters & transport department as necessary.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you'll be working on 4 on 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00/18:00 - 06:00 rotating shift pattern.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £37,516.96 per annum (inclusive of night shift allowance), and 26 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Ensure that day-to-day operational changes are incorporated into the department standards
  • Continuously strive to improve the operational effectiveness of the site, to ensure high quality of service to customers
  • Ensure all colleagues comply with company procedures and are aware of their own responsibilities to others
  • Monitoring key performance indicators for the area

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast-paced warehouse or brewery environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams to ensure excellent performance
  • The ability to work to the highest levels of safety, service, accuracy and quality
  • An understanding of key operational cost drivers and cost centre management
