Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our Equipment Management operation in Rainham, working alongside our customer, Tesco. As a shift manager you will be responsible for effectively managing the operation and the associated workforce ensuring adherence to all company and legal requirements.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 - 18:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000.00 per annum, and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Oversee the running of the tray wash and recycling operation on the night shift
  • Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company's policies
  • Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • A warehouse operational management background
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and creating development plans
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
