This role will work across both Returns and Pre-Retail departments at our Northampton site. The Shift Manager is expected to manage the shift in the most efficient manner to achieve targets set by customer and company by effectively managing operational activities.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role, working a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, 7pm-7am

We're looking to offer a salary of £40,000 per annum and 23 days holiday (including bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Manage operational activities of any assigned contract, operational team and shift
  • To understand the short to medium term plans of the customer and the operational requirements. Review operational volumes and forecasts to calculate labour requirements.
  • Maintain of all warehouse related operational processes and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of set targets and KPI's by monitoring the operational team performance through their middle management
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support the operative team and implement structured development programmes.
  • You will be maintaining the correct team culture and high customer service levels.

What you need to succeed:
  • Strong team working skills and the ability to lead, motivate others and manage challenge, within a logistics environment
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Extensive customer service experience and customer awareness
  • Perform well under pressure and managing conflicting priorities whilst keeping a level head
