Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our Equipment Management operation in Haydock supporting our customer Sainsbury's. We are all about recycling and reusing, you'll provide leadership and guidance for the warehouse team, ensuring that they have all the tools they need to do the job and that the operation runs smoothly.
This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 06:00 - 18:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum, and 22 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Manage and coordinate the work activities within your large team of warehouse colleagues, whilst ensuring a customer focused approach with a responsive nature to customer requirements
- Co-ordinate customer requirements, ensuring procedural conformance, customer satisfaction and that contractual obligations are met
- Carry out the timely reporting of performance KPI and financial information, identifying trends and acting on areas for development
- Ensuring the operation meets or exceeds budgeted targets set up for export operation with the use of key operational cost drivers and P&L management
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience supervising or managing a large team in a complex, fast-paced warehouse environment
- An understanding of key operational cost drivers and P&L or cost centre management
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach teams to ensure excellent performance
- The ability to perform under pressure, efficiently managing conflicting priorities whilst keeping a level head
