Here at GXO Logistics, we are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Senior Warehouse Operative to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope,working in partnership with our customer Currys, at their distribution centre.

You will be working on the shift pattern of '4 on 4 off' with the hours of 07:00 - 19:00.

What you will do on a typical day:
  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives, administrative assistants, and inventory controllers
  • Co-ordinate activities to meet set objectives and take charge in the absence of the First Line Manager
  • Deal efficiently with all customer and supplier goods entering and leaving the warehouse
  • Ensure the delivery of contractual KPI's whilst maintaining cost control and continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse operation, operating under pressure and to deadlines
  • Team leadership and coaching skills, coupled with the ability to drive, implement, and maintain change
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with all aspects of the business
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels
