Here at GXO, we are looking for a full-time, permanent QHSE Coordinator to join us and support our shared user contract based in Peterborough. You'll be responsible for all things health and safety, to create a safe and supportive workplace environment where people can thrive.

Your working hours will be Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, however flexibility is required.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Provide advice and support to ensure compliance with both legislation and corporate policy to Line Managers
  • Review into incident trends, follow up actions from audits & incidents
  • Preparation of monthly QHSE statistics to be delivered at site monthly meeting
  • Advise and assist where required with all ongoing investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring all actions are completed in the site's agreed SLA timings
  • Manage Food Safety & Quality standards within the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience working at a similar level within a logistics/warehousing environment, ideally within 3PL
  • Confidence in engaging with colleagues at all levels, as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with senior management and customers alike
  • Working towards or desire to obtain NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent - National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Experience in QHSE Management systems
  • The candidate will ideally have experience of Food Safety Regulations / Compliance in accordance with BRC Global Standard for Warehousing & Distribution Issue 4
