As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced QESH Business Partner to play a key role in driving our safety-first culture and ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites in the Randstad Area.
This role will involve regular travel (2-3 days per week) between Amsterdam, Utrecht, Lelystad, and Eindhoven, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact across a variety of locations. You'll collaborate closely with teams to implement QESH policies, foster a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

What you do on a typical day
- Manage designated QESH Officers supporting our customers within your Region
- Assist in the implementation of the Corporate cultural change programs including "Road to Zero" at a local level
- Create and maintain a well-organized work structure in which QESH Officers can effectively perform tasks and responsibilities
- Support designated QESH Officers on complex, difficult or high-level cases within the QESH BeNedepartment's scope of work
- Perform requested and unannounced audits, checks or inspections on relevant QESH topics on sites throughout the North Region
- Assist and support in external audits on request of designated QESH Officer or Site Manager in case of high-risk or compliance issues either pre-audit, during audit or post-audit
- Develop policy and procedures, in cooperation with the QESH Manager BeNewhich will be implemented as standards within the BeNeorganization on QESH-related topics
- Develop and maintain, in cooperation with the QESH Manager BeNea professional and structured framework for the QESH officers to assure effective advice and results towards other stakeholders' part of the BeNeorganization
- This includes the quality management system of the BeNeorganization certified on applicable quality standards, such as NEN-ISO 9001 and NEN-EN-ISO 14001
- Draft audit and inspection reports based on internal audits, checks and inspections which provide actions, advice and guidelines in assuring compliance to QESH related topics, in cooperation with designated QESH Officers
- Cooperate with external suppliers to work towards solutions which help the organization if required to do so due to unavailable competence or solutions internally
- Escalation and intervention towards the Site Managers in cooperation with QESH Manager BeNein case of emergency or major nonconformities identified that form a business risk as part of QESH related topics
- Involved and approved of incident management and all activities involved to assure proper start and completion of such
- Translate law and regulation into usable and practical advice which fit within the organizational structure and methods of work in cooperation with QESH Manager BeNe
- Engender and operate in a culture of zero tolerance of accidents and self-inflicted incidents
- Aid and support where required to the QESH Manager BeNefor projects or reports both internally as externally required
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other relevant applicable standards depending on the site's need
- Broad experience in the field of Health & Safety with a good understanding of Dangerous Goods Act
- Knowledge of EU Health & Safety Regulations is essential
- Team management experience and capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and preferably Dutch
- Self-driven, resilient and able to thrive in a challenging environment
- Committed to delivering high-quality work and have a professional critical attitude and a straight back
- Result-oriented and like to work pro-actively
- People person and have great communication skills
- EU Driving License
