Here at GXO, we're looking for a highly experienced Portfolio Manager to ensure business goals are achieved through governance of the portfolio, successful programme management and at the same time maturing and developing programme delivery capability

The Portfolio Manager is accountable for facilitating and achieving strategic portfolio management for a single portfolio of activities. The role will enable the effective governance and compliance of the Portfolio.

Working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm with remote working , although there will be some travel within the role.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £68,000 per annum + Car or Car allowance, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Support the delivery of the portfolio through portfolio management, reporting, communication and identifying outcomes/value delivery to ensure GXO goals achieved.
  • The Portfolio Manager will be an independent SME, comfortable in highlighting opportunities to improve.
  • Establish strong relationships across diverse stakeholders within the portfolio ecosystem to deliver business and IT strategy.
  • Align with portfolio offices within the enterprise to create an EPMO network.
  • Lead on management and driving resolution to outstanding RAID, decision log and compliance items.

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Proven experience in portfolio management, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong IT functional knowledge, with extensive experience in enterprise delivery.
  • Proven experience of embracing and initiating change.
  • Analytical and problem-solving, able to find solutions to issues.
