Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our team in Selby. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of warehouse activities, effective customer relationship management, ensuring all legislative requirements are met and maintained while ensuring all Health and Safety are adhered to.

This is a full-time, permanent position, predominately working Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £53,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Monitoring financial performance, identifying cost saving initiatives and implementing corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse function
  • Produce and review forecasts with the customer in line with business performance, utilising labour and other resources including recruitment
  • Monitoring compliance to all legislative and Standard Operating Procedures, initiating corrective action where appropriate
  • Promoting effective and harmonious employee relations through formal and informal communication channels where appropriate
  • Effectively manage customer relationships to ensure high levels of services are delivered and maintained

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Will have experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment, planning and organising skills
  • Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and warehouse performance whilst minimising costs
  • Strong team management and coaching skills coupled with the ability to drive/implement change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
