Inventory First Line Manager (Nights)

Do you have proven experience of leading a team? Are you adaptable and able to think on your feet? Does the idea of working in one of the biggest fulfilment centres in the UK excite you?

At our ASOS site in Doncaster, we are looking for an Inventory First Line Manager to join our busy 24/7 e-commerce operation on a full time, permanent basis. You'll be responsible for leading a team of people within the inventory team, focusing on continuous improvement, and promoting a team-based culture.

You'll be working Tuesday - Saturday on a nights, 21:45 - 06:15.

You'll receive a salary of up to £34,944 per annum, and 264 hours annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Manage the allocation of work within the inventory team on a daily basis, controlling headcounts and overtime budgets
  • Develop and maintain appropriate reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance
  • Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary
  • Pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to take ownership of processes from start to finish
  • Ability to adapt and think on your feet
  • Proven managerial experience would be desirable
