Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Facilities & QHSE Coordinator to join our team in our freezer operation in Reading, supporting our customer Waitrose. You will champion the GXO philosophy in the management and communication of health, safety and environmental issues for the site while ensuring the safe working practices and legal legislations are met.

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Ensure EHS and Facilities compliance with both statutory legal and internal processes are maintained with the required documentation for internal and external audit
  • Review Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work for all tasks carried out within the warehouse
  • Network with Central H&S team and other GXO H&S functions to share best practice and maximise resource utilisation
  • Support the Site and Contract QHSE Manager to ensure all health, safety and environmental matters are dealt with in line with legislation and best practice

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Previous experience within facilities management along with adapting to and facilitating change is essential
  • Certification in IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills for facilitating and scheduling contractors where needed
