Role Summary & Impact
The Data Strategy team works alongside Planning and Activation teams to accelerate our clients' data-driven advantage to identify growth opportunities and win the most valuable consumers more often. We work cross-functionally to ultimately construct the portfolio, investment, audience and (sometimes) content architectures to drive data driven marketing efforts in market. To be successful in this team you need to bring a hunger to uncover insights, learn and leverage emerging tech, and have a start-up mentality to continually innovate our practice.
In addition to working with internal Planning and Activation teams, the Data Strategist will work with clients to enable their data and tech that lay the foundation for executing precision marketing. They will also consult closely on the paid, owned, and earned media ecosystem to maximize customer engagements, connecting AdTech and MarTech to better understand journeys and outcomes.

- The role will be tasked with executing audience strategies, which will involve everything from analysis and architecture straight through to activation and validation in partnership with internal agency teams, client stakeholders and best in class data partners.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior Associate is a curious strategist with a deep appetite to understand people, how they behave, and how to best connect with them to generate impact. They want to understand how to bring together an understanding of the bigger picture through various datapoints and sources. They value the principles of brand and performance marketing, understanding that consumer journeys are dynamic and delivering against those journeys most effectively requires a full-funnel approach to marketing. Create audience strategies including derivation of audience insights. Oversees translation of audience logic to activation collaborating closely with internal teams including data scientists
- Leverage data and research approaches to provide in-depth, contextual understanding of consumer, category, and culture to help businesses drive growth grounded in data and human truths
- Support development of audience strategies including derivation of insights, translation of audience logic to activation collaborating closely with internal teams
- Pull data and insights from our key syndicated and secondary sources (e.g. MRI Simmons, Brandwatch, comScore, Mintel, Numerator)
- Assist in quantitative data analysis (including, but not limited to, audience segmentations, business forecasting, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques)
- Proactively monitor media data and audience syndication and report back to client on match rates to limit data loss
- Publish audience integration documentation and syndication details to external trackers for cross-functional reference
- Project manage the details ensuring work is organized, communicated to the right parties, deadlines are achieved by driving process steps forward, and meetings are set up as needed
- Work with the team to create PowerPoint deck storylines for client, internal, and new business projects that drive consumer, cultural and brand understanding
- Collaborate with, and consult internal stakeholders (e.g. comms planning, planning) and clients to drive insights and recommendations into strategic questions
- Attend and contribute to all internal team meetings and brainstorms
- Attend client meetings, and help respond to client questions and requests when needed
- Staying up to date on industry, consumer and cultural insights, bringing them into our team and projects
What you've already conquered:
- Embody an intellectual curiosity around what data means by putting it into the context of the client's business and focusing on asking the next question.
- Experience in media/digital strategy and ad tech/mar tech/ programmatic knowledge
- Analytical thinker knowledgeable in the online/offline digital ecosystem
- Strong quantitative skills (data entry and basic data analysis knowledge and experience)
- High attention to detail without sacrificing the big picture
- Ability to craft a story using multiple sources and types of research
- Ability to work across multiple projects while meeting deadlines

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $90,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
