ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Science team. This is an excellent opportunity to employ advanced statistical techniques in the media world such as Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution, budget optimization, and audience segmentation/modeling.

The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery and be responsible for leveraging software and technologies (ie: R, Python, Machine Learning, etc.) and communicating with internal stakeholders and clients.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Data Collection & Cleansing: Perform data processing, data cleansing and handling of raw data to produce large structured data sets for analysis, data modeling, data governance etc.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct econometric and other statistical analyses. Run ad-hoc "what if scenarios" and simulations based on models and evaluate media plans.
  • Model Development & Evaluation: Assist in building and testing machine learning models to solve business problems, using tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Visualization: Support reporting, data visualization and presentation building with oversight from team leader.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams across Buying, Planning and Digital Investment to produce client deliverables. Perform storytelling from data and analyses; communicate insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Learning & Growth: Support R&D initiatives by designing algorithms, developing features, QA or providing training and support to power users.
  • Leadership: Take full accountability of timely project delivery, producing analyses and content that is clean, organized, easy to read and understand. Convert business problems into mathematical expressions and equations. Bring critical thinking into finding issues, solving problems and improving processes.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field; OR equivalent professional work experience.
  • Proven experience (2-4 years) as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
  • Understanding of multivariate regressions.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel (Pivot Tables, Complex Functions, etc.)
  • Professional experience with Python.
  • Ability to perform Analytics, with ability to clearly communicate findings both written and orally.
  • Persuasive and capable of getting buy in from multiple teams (inside/outside Mindshare) and clients.
  • Able to deal with and prioritize multiple business requests with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, Domo, Power BI a plus; ability to adapt to new software, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing ecosystem a plus.
  • Experience with Web Analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, Webtrends) and Ad Servers tools (DoubleClick, MediaMind, PointRoll, Atlas) nice to have.
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
