Job Purpose:
We are hiring for a Data Engineer to join the team, focused on building, managing and enhancing the vast data infrastructure that fuels PlayStation's marketing and advertising initiatives. This is a hands-on coding position and will play a crucial role in developing data pipelines, ensuring proper data collection techniques, and optimizing data-driven insights.

Please note: This hybrid position requires regular in-office presence. We are currently considering candidates based in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance a large-scale database using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Python, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity. This includes applying hotfixes to the database when necessary.
- Design and implement data pipelines to automate data ingestion, transformation, and delivery from various sources, including advertising platforms, internal systems, and manual entry.
- Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to proactively identify and address data inconsistencies or errors.
- Work with the development team to enhance the robustness of data entry tools and provide clear guidelines for manual data entry.
- Work closely with internal Data & Analytics teams, PlayStation's engineering groups, and external partners to understand data needs, gather requirements, and provide technical expertise.
- Assist both PlayStation and EssenceMediacom (EMC) teams on servicing ad hoc requests for sales and audience data to help develop media plans or analyze their performance.
- Identify opportunities to optimize data infrastructure, enhance data quality processes, and implement best practices for data engineering and software development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistical Modeling, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant fields of study.
- Minimum of 4 years experience of large-scale software development in a professional setting.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (including libraries like Pandas and Flask), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, and DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Experience in data governance processes, data quality assurance, and best practices for data integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
