Position Overview:

The Analyst, Data Science role on the performance analytics team will focus on building and automating campaign insights and data-driven optimizations strategy for programmatic and ecommerce media campaigns. The analyst will create data insights/visualization from the privacy-safe, cloud-based campaign data repositories that will support internal and external teams to drive digital campaigns more effectively. This role requires excellent technical skills and experience in data querying, matching and data quality checks, reporting, and dashboarding. Through the insights created the individual will contribute significantly to the strategy across various aspects of campaign planning, set-up, optimization, and insights. Goal: Drive programmatic, social and e-commerce campaign performance, surface key learnings/insights to ensure the success of the campaigns, and meeting business objectives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Log-Level Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting

• Gather, store, and maintain log-level data for all digital channels. Data sources include Ad Server, DSP, Ad Verification, Data cleanrooms

• Stitch together various log-level data together using appropriate methods

• Perform Reach, Frequency and Overlap Analysis and Insight generation

• Path-To-Conversion Analysis and Insight generation

• Audience Profiling, Analysis, and Insight generation

• Master the deployment of pre-built machine learning algorithms to support programmatic optimizations

• Support the development of custom machine learning models

• Process Automation

Aggregated Data Analytics & Actionable Insights

• Identify and articulate what strategy works/doesn't work: explain why and offer recommendations

• Campaign/platform/domain-level performance diagnostics

• Budget pacing analysis

• Audience-level profiling and performance diagnostics

• Process Automation

Measurement, Reporting & Dashboards Using Aggregated Data

• Identify measurement and reporting needs and implement across all channels (programmatic and non-programmatic)

• Identify KPIs and benchmarks related to campaign success and goals

• Visualize key trends and relationships and articulate actionable insights

• Design, develop and distribute reports and dashboards and automate the process

• Work with data scientist in providing data for modeling needs

Test & Learn

• Develop and execute campaign test & learn plans

• Articulate and report on results

Desirable Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in any science involving math and analytics (e.g. business, statistics, engineering, physics, etc.). Graduate degree preferred but not required.

• Some hands-on, proven experience in an analytics or data science role preferred

• Familiarity with digital media eco-system is a big plus

Technical Skills:

• Conceptual understanding of cloud computing environments and toolsets, proven experience in at least one of the cloud computing platform: GCP preferred, AWS and Azure relevant

• Hands-on coding skill in Python (pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, stats models), R, SQL

• Solid understanding of fundamentals of data analysis: exploratory data analysis, probabilistic modeling, data mining, how to generate actionable insight, how to scale up analytics solutions

• Understanding of regression, clustering, classification techniques, working knowledge on machine learning applications -Supervised ML (e.g. Classification - Decision Trees, k-means - SVM, Naïve Bayes) vs Unsupervised ML (e.g. Clustering, PCA, etc.),

• Solid fundamental knowledge on statistics- Understanding of Descriptive, Prescriptive,

Predictive Statistical Methods

• Familiarity with experimental design, A/B testing setup, execution and measurement, results reporting

• Dashboards and Visualization - Proven Experience in Google Data Studio, Tableau, Python matplotlib

• AdTech Platform Experience - a plus but not required: Ad Servers, DSP, Verification providers

• Exposure to Spark preferred

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $90,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
