The EU Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the company's sustainability strategy across the European region in alignment with Griffith 2030 Aspirations. This role involves tracking progress against sustainability targets, analysing data, ensuring compliance with EU regulatory requirements (e.g., CSRD), and aligning with customer expectations. The analyst will also contribute to fostering strategic collaboration across the supply chain by supporting the development of impactful webinars, workshops, and other engagement initiatives with customers and suppliers.
The position can be located in our offices in Valls (Spain) or in our offices in Paris (France).
Responsibilities:
EU Compliance & Reporting:
- Support efforts to meet EU regulatory requirements, with a primary focus on CSRD compliance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of non-financial and sustainability-related data.
- Collaborate with internal regional and global teams to establish processes and systems for gathering, managing, and reporting data in line with CSRD and other relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI).
- Support the development of corporate ESG reports and disclosures to meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements, including those for customers and industry bodies.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare reports to track progress toward regional sustainability goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Customer & Supplier Engagement:
- Coordinate the completion of customers sustainability inquiries and questionnaires, providing timely and accurate information on compliance, goals, and performance.
- Support the development and delivery of impactful webinars, workshops, and events to engage customers and suppliers on sustainability topics such as regenerative agriculture, net-zero initiatives, and sustainable sourcing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content for these sessions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering meaningful collaboration across the supply chain.
- Track and evaluate the impact of these engagement activities, leveraging feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Research & Benchmarking:
- Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends, EU regulations, and customer expectations within the food and B2B industries.
- Benchmark the company's sustainability performance against competitors and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Educated to Bachelor's degree level. Professional certification would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a Sustainability related role. Experience in the Food Industry preferred
- English is a pre-requisite, additional languages a benefit.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong command of Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Experience in data analysis software programs e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences, including regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Event Coordination: Experience or interest in organizing and delivering impactful webinars or workshops to drive engagement and collaboration.
- Project Management: Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in a team environment with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
