Summary: The purpose of this role is to function as an internal consultant for Nourish Ventures with the objectives of identifying best practices and improving existing structures and processes and designing, building, and implementing strong internal frameworks and processes.
As the Summer Intern for Nourish Ventures, this individual will engage with the entire team to understand the corporate venture capital and external innovation industries. The intern will gain exposure to all aspects of the investment process and will play an integral role in the group's ability to communicate with key stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help create periodic reports regarding the valuation of the portfolio, the pipeline of investment ideas, and opportunities for commercial partnerships.
- Assess the internal processes and procedures of the team and help build and optimize these processes by building frameworks, and using external tools, e.g., OneNote, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Affinity deal flow software.
- Help the team generate reports regarding industry trends and present opportunities for investment and strategic collaboration, for use by the broader organization.
- Work collaboratively with the Nourish Ventures team regionally and globally on all aspects of tracking and communicating the performance of the fund.
Qualifications:
- Currently completing Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- Some knowledge regarding consumer-related sectors and the food industry, specifically.
- Deep interest in entrepreneurship, agrifood industry, and venture capital.
- Strong work ethic with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to complete complicated financial analysis.
- Passionate about investment in the food industry and using it to improve the health of humans and planet.
- Experience with project management, planning, budgeting, reporting and communications.
- Microsoft Suite skills; specifically, PowerPoint.
- The preferred location is Chicago, IL but open to other locations in the US.
