Position Summary

This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours. This position runs until July 2022.
As a Community Ambassador, you will aid the Great Oaks Foundation's recruitment efforts and increase awareness of the GO Fellowship program in the communities we serve. In this position, you will play an integral role in the development of our talent pipeline by increasing our access to community-based organizations and groups, service and non-profit organizations, and other community stakeholders. You will serve as a founding team member in the launch of our new Community Ambassadors program.
The GO Fellowship program benefits school communities from Maryland to Connecticut by providing small groups of students individualized instruction, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities. The Great Oaks Foundation is dedicated to recruiting talented young professionals to participate in this program. The experience offered in the GO Fellowship has proven beneficial in supporting recent college graduates in successfully launching their careers.

You are the ideal candidate for the Community Ambassador position if you are a self-directed, service-oriented person who has strong community ties and believes in the value of the GO Fellowship.
Compensation and Benefits
- $25/ hour base pay (5 hours min and 10 hours max for Community Ambassadors/ 15 hours max for Senior Community Ambassadors)
- $250 per referred hire (uncapped)
As a Community Ambassador you will:
- source relevant individuals, groups and organizations in the community and make connections to generate leads
- market GO Fellowship program opportunities and share program information with community partners
- act as a spokesperson for the GO Fellowship
- meet with other community stakeholders to discover new opportunities to promote the GO Fellowship opportunity
- maintain positive relationships with community partners
- field questions from interested candidates
- present short informational sessions to community groups
- create connections in the community
- $25/hr for 10-15 weeks
- regularly utilize social media presence to market the GO Fellowship opportunity
- table community-based career expo events (when safe to to so)
- refer a minimum of 40 applications with a minimum 4 hires
- collaborate with Campus Ambassadors at local colleges/universities
- support the ongoing development of community engagement strategies and approaches
