About the Role:
As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you'll work under the guidance of the Director of Logistics & Trade Compliance to manage essential supply chain activities, including import/export, transportation, and quality assurance. You'll communicate directly with freight forwarders and global suppliers, track shipments, maintain key data for our vendors, and help ensure that our supply chain runs as seamlessly as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and ensure compliance with requirements from Grainger and Imperial.
- Update and manage the Foreign Vendor Database and Container Tracking for volume forecasts.
- Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders and suppliers for timely cargo bookings.
- Provide cost-effective freight estimates and transportation support for Imperial's Drop-Ship Program.
- Accurately complete Importer Security Filings (ISF) before deadlines.
- Deliver top-notch customer service for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor and report on open VOCs (Voice of Customer) and follow up with relevant departments.
- Track and report on KPIs, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Technical school graduate, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Ideally, 1-3 years in transportation, freight forwarding, or distribution operations.
- Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
