Position Details

The Product Compliance team focuses its efforts on ensuring the products we bring into Grainger's U.S. and Canadian assortment are compliant and that simultaneously we stay up to date on their respective regulations to protect Grainger. As Manager, you will oversee a team that monitors, evaluates and implements compliance efforts including product restrictions, overseeing compliance data, documentation and Grainger's response to regulations across North America. You will ensure Grainger is in compliance for our vast product assortment through providing continuous improvement data insights and regulatory guidance to leadership teams. You will collaborate cross-functionally across various verticals and functional departments to achieve common objectives and ensure alignment with broader strategy.

You Will

  • Identify opportunities to continually improve upon overall operations, systems and standards for information flow and management, business processes, and reporting.
  • Analyze existing programs, perform best practice benchmark gap analysis, and provide insights into opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Applies best practices in the design and implementation of projects and activities with continuous improvement in mind.
  • Responsible for standardizing, scaling, and simplifying operations through leveraging technologies.
  • Lead with a strategic mindset the prioritization, planning, and deployment of large initiatives such as developing and managing large vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain program metrics, process documentation and manage tools to support the execution of initiatives and enhance analytical capabilities required for successful operations.
  • Establish program milestones, proactively tracking issues, escalating and mitigating risks threatening program delivery.
  • Responsible for developing and coaching less senior team members to ensure standardization and adherence to policies and best practices.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement process analysis, initiatives redesign and change management for impacted teams.
  • Experience translating data into measurable actions.
  • Experience presenting data insights and processes to various stakeholder levels for approval and prioritization.
