This position title is Manager, Operational Systems (WMS/WCS). You will report to a Senior Manager, Operational Systems and this role can be based in Lake Forest, IL

You Will:


  • Responsible design, testing, and implementation of the distribution center's business systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and other business relevant software.
  • Responsible for planning, execution, and oversight of system implementation projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing processes.
  • Coordinate technical support and training to users of the business systems with GTG, OST, and Operational Teams.
  • Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business users to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes through the effective use of system enhancements.
  • Ensure that systems are optimized to support business goals and enhance productivity.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for system use and management.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for system users to ensure effective utilization.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
  • Gather and address user feedback to continuously improve system functionality.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining configuration workbooks for new and existing buildings.

You Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system implementation, operational management, or a related role.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successful system implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), business requirements, Warehouse Execution Software (WES) systems, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in various operational systems and software, with a strong understanding of system integration.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards related to operational systems.
