Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager specializing in Server Infrastructure to lead our team responsible for managing and optimizing our server environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Nutanix AHV, storage solutions, and server operating systems, coupled with a strong background in metrics reporting via Power BI and service management through ServiceNow. The role requires an initiative-taking leader with the ability to manage both the technical and operational aspects of server infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across all systems.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure.

You Will:

  • Server Infrastructure Management:
  • Responsible for the operational team that manages the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of server systems, HCI, virtualization and backup solutions.
  • Manage all areas delivering L1 through L3 support for server infrastructure systems.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to support availability, performance, and security of physical and virtual server environments.
  • Lead the engineering team responsible for delivering server, HCI, storage and backup solutions across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of server infrastructure across the organization.

Reporting and Metrics:

  • Responsible for leading a team that develops dashboards and reports using Power BI and ServiceNow to monitor infrastructure performance, utilization, and capacity.
  • Deliver reports to senior leaders providing insights and recommendations for optimizing infrastructure systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs for infrastructure performance.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage team performance, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
  • Identifying and forming strategies around emerging technologies that support enterprise growth initiatives.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with a focus on server infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in Nutanix AHV and VMware, storage solutions, and server operating systems (Windows Server, Red Hat, SUSE Linux).
  • Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for IT service management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control in large-scale IT service teams.

Bonus:

Experience with AWS, Ansible (AAP), AGILE methodologies, ITIL, PowerShell, Python/BASH
