Position Details

Reporting to Manager, Cash Operations, the Cash Operations Analyst will manage daily cash reconciliation, website maintenance, Grainger branch banking coordination, share repurchase assistance and other activities around daily cash management. You will provide rotating coverage for the Senior Cash Management Analyst, including setting the daily cash position, debt, and investments. You will serve as the Treasury point of contact for Cash Accounting for reporting and analysis. You will analyze unclaimed property information and work with third party vendor on claims and participate in other treasury projects as needed. This position requires presence at the Lake Forest, IL headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You Will

  • Analyze all bank fees (excess of $1 Million) and recommend service changes where necessary.
  • Develop dashboards to track bank fees.
  • Perform bank account administrative activities related to reconciling prior day activity, managing changes for branch accounts, and instructing branch managers on DCR and bank deposits.
  • Work with Grainger's Branch Network, Northern Trust, and Information Technology for any bank deposit changes.
  • Maintain, organize, and record all bank statement and cash activity utilizing Records Management Guidelines.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with international entities to understand bank regulation and banking requirement.
  • Manage the Treasury Operations SharePoint web site.
  • Act as Treasury liaison between Grainger Security, the banks, and other third parties for fraud claims.
  • Process Accounts Payable exception checks, including tracking logs.
  • Maintain secure inventory of blank Treasury check stock for daily use as well as business continuity purposes.
  • Direct third-party vendors with review and research of unclaimed property.
  • Authorize filing of claims owed to Grainger, process claims outside of contractual agreements and analyze claim activity.
  • Print checks for distribution.
  • Initiate wire and ACH returns, deletions, and reversals as requested by various team members.
  • Participate in projects related to treasury services such as ATM setup or technology upgrades.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior treasury or banking experience.
  • Knowledge of treasury and financial software packages.
  • Certified Treasury Professional designation.
