UX Designer, Developer X, Firebase

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience designing for user facing products.
• Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
• Experience designing for Developer Tools.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tooling.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences-from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you'll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.

In this role, you'll design user interfaces and curate design systems for a suite of development tools for building, scaling, generating web and mobile software applications. You'll work with cross-functional team of Designers, Researchers, Program Managers, and Developers to understand the needs of modern app developers and create user-friendly interfaces that meet those needs.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications following a user-centered process to effectively communicate product goals and novel design solutions.
• Develop interaction patterns, define framework components, and apply visual styles consistent with Firebase design systems and the Google brand.
• Collaborate closely with product management, developing, and user research to define, test, and launch features that maximize end user, developer, and business value and impact.
• Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations. Participate in regular design reviews with a strong ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively.
