Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Android Systems design, including Automotive Systems design.
  • 2 years of experience in Partner management, including project, escalation and product partnerships.
  • Experience in project or program management and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, or Python).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with system architecture or device bring-up of Android or other Linux-based platforms.
  • Experience with Android application or Android device development.

    As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

    You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

    The Android Partner Engineering team works closely with a global and diverse set of partners who use Android to build devices and services. The team works to align the strategic goals of Google and its partners to make Android the platform of choice across multiple consumer and enterprise domains.

    In this role, you will drive teams by engaging across the industry (i.e., car-makers, technology suppliers, and silicon vendors) to maximize adoption of Android Auto (i.e., apps via smartphone projection), and shape the Android Automotive platform and Google Automotive Services such as Assistant, Google Maps, Vehicle Mapping Service for driver assistance, Play Store.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage technical projects with Automotive industry partners, guiding Android Auto solution planning and implementation.
    • Provide technical expertise regarding Android Auto integration in emerging system architectures.
    • Maintain and enhance Android Auto compatibility and platform updatability.
    • Advocate for and translate industry needs to Google Engineering and Product teams in order to shape future platform development. Inform strategic partnership decisions.
    • Develop tools and processes to streamline partner engagements and guarantee high product quality.
