Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in SQL and one or more programming languages like (Python, C++ or Java).
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in projects related to content acquisition, content quality, data ingestion, pipeline management, experimentation, and site reliability engineering.
  • Experience in driving business metrics, program metrics, reporting, leadership reviews.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple, complex technical programs that extend beyond the immediate team and have organization-wide impact. Identify, define, and prioritize program objectives and success criteria, ensuring alignment with Search's strategic goals.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across various functions and organizations. Communicate program direction, progress, and risks, ensuring alignment on priorities and de-risking strategies.
  • Develop program plans, estimate task durations, manage dependencies, and monitor progress against timelines. Identify and mitigate risks, and effectively communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Leverage continuous improvement methodologies to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Define, track, and analyze program and process metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
