As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a Technical Program Manager within the Chrome Browser team, you will provide a program management partnership to the Clank development teams. You will lead, organize, and manage projects and programs, in collaboration with Development, Product, and User Experience leads, that drive business outcomes, while developing systems to drive future optimizations.

Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams of developer, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing projects and programs from concept to launch, including planning, tracking progress, identifying and resolving issues, and managing dependencies.
  • Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of developer teams, and the quality of product launches.
  • Provide program management leadership for the portfolio of Bling priorities and establish effective partnerships with Bling developers, product, and UX leads.
  • Deliver continuous and aimed transparency to keep core team members aligned, and stakeholders informed.
  • Leverage an understanding of mobile feature development to identify and build new operational improvements and processes.
