As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

iOS Google App (iGA) platforms sits at the crossroads of all features built within the app, and has the unique responsibility of integrating everything together into a seamless and cohesive product that not only shines from user experience point of view but also upholds Google's product excellence standards for performance and reliability. Unlike other infrastructure teams that may not have objective metrics measurement, iGA Platforms owns and makes direct contributions to iGA North Star metrics. In other words, we have demonstrated quarter after quarter that improving performance and reliability leads to measurable improvement in user engagement (DAUs).

In this role, you will take initiatives to dive into hard technical problems, and also share this passion for building safe, performant, inspiring, and trustworthy products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and Software Engineers to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders' needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within iOS Google App teams andiOS Google App teams partnersto drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
