Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with Security Assessments, Data Analytics, and SQL.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Abuse Detection and Security.
  • Experience working with AI/ML.
  • Ability to understand engineering fundamentals and dashboards.
  • Passion for process improvement, automation, and increasing efficiency of execution.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop technical knowledge in the data access security domain to help scope project requirements.
  • Design and deliver predictable program communication plans in collaboration with program stakeholders, and represent the program team across a wide range of points.
  • Determine program phasing and metrics that drive continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship in collaboration with program stakeholders.
  • Determine and collect data required to execute and govern programs and maintain project trackers and status reports.
  • Manage projects, collect and prioritize requirements, and identify and drive execution of deliverables while managing dependencies.
