Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 8 years of experience in Android development.
  • Experience with software development life cycle and release management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience delivering multiple concurrent complex programs, working cross-functionally, and doing business globally.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Embedded Systems (e.g. Automotive, TV).
  • Knowledge of Android Operating System architecture.
  • Demonstrated track record of cross-functional stakeholder management and leadership through influence.

About the job

In this role, you will play a critical role in the definition, delivery and execution of our priorities across the organization, ensuring that we are moving with velocity to delight our partners and end users. To drive strategic innovation opportunities, you will partner closely with cross-functional leads to establish "what" our teams should build and then be responsible for "how" we make it happen.

You'll also partner closely with other parts of the Automotive organization and leadership to align strategy and priorities to enable a cohesive story to bring the best of Google into cars.

You will also partner closely with the Automotive engineering site leads for Krakow and Munich to hire, build, and sustain a high-performing team in Krakow.

Automotive industry executives say there will be more change in their business in the next 5 years than they have seen in the last 50 years.

The Android Auto team collaborate with vehicle manufacturers to develop and deliver on this massive opportunity, building on a proven embedded platform to create a leading Assistant-powered, navigation, entertainment, and communication vehicle system, which will be delivered to specialized people-moving devices.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive large, complex programs cutting across AAOS for SDV, AAOS for IVI teams, sites, and potentially companies.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to build the Android for Automotive presence in Krakow, Poland, building a team, culture, and cross-site partnerships and programs in alignment with our Munich and US-based teams.
  • Partner with Software Engineering, Engineering Productivity, Partner Engineering leads to define, drive, develop, track, integrate, test, and land product features and initiatives with automakers, and their suppliers.
  • Provide technical expertise, program management experience and leadership skills to help the organization improve and accelerate their execution at scale.
