Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.
- Experience in building large-scale infrastructure offering.
- Ability to exemplify Google's values in diversity, inclusion, and respect.
- Collaborative working style and ability to lead projects with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate and influence the strategies for key product areas.

In this role, you'll own several major pieces of the infrastructure and will be responsible for the comprehensiveness and quality of the Shopping Graph. You'll be responsible for defining the strategy and partnering with teams to leverage ML-based approaches to scale our data extraction systems. You'll be responsible for the backend powering "Autofeeds for Everyone", an externally visible, merchant-facing automated feed management solution used by merchants and uploading offers daily.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and lead an engineering team with a focus on Data mining, Experiments, Logging, Metrics, and the associated infrastructure, on-call rotations, and cross-Product Area client support that entails.
- Define metrics and develop roadmaps for successfully improving Buyable corpus comprehensiveness and quality and widen its applications in Shopping and beyond.
- Partner closely with counterparts in Search and Core Infrastructure organizations to leverage horizontal tools and discuss partnerships and roadmaps which increase their utility for Shopping use-cases.
- Create new-to-Google infrastructure and programs which enable step-function improvements in Shopping corpus.
- Partner with teams throughout Shopping to maximize success.
