Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 1.5 years of experience in a leadership role (technical leadership or people management, supervision, or team leadership).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience in client-side development (desktop, Android, iOS, or similar) with interest in learning client-side development.
  • Experience building user-facing features and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will build the services that protect the data and users as work increasingly moves to the browser. The full-stack team works across all devices and form factors, contributing to Chromium and building cloud infrastructure on Google Workspace. This allows us to provide customizable AI services, management tools, and security features to organizations using Chrome.
In collaboration with Safe Browsing, Google Workspace, and Cloud Security teams, you will be bridging the cloud offerings with Chrome's extensive reach. You will focus on developing security solutions that position Chrome as a cornerstone of enterprise Zero Trust architectures.

We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical guidance to a team of software engineers.
  • Work with product managers and UX designers to deliver features to improve the lives of enterprise users.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy software features.
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
  • Work in the open-source Chromium repository and in internal Google server codebases.
