Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience working collaboratively on projects and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing web applications, Android apps, and/or native desktop applications.

In this role, you will enable 3rd party developers to build successful applications for ChromeOS that take full advantage of Google's AI capabilities and ChromeOS's unique and powerful features.

Responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of major components of the application platform and work closely with less experienced engineers to help them contribute. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional team members to prioritize, plan and scope these projects and to develop product strategy and roadmap.
- Design and implement platform foundations including the components required to build, install, test, run, configure and monitor applications on ChromeOS.
- Design, implement, and extend web APIs to power new use cases (e.g., access to system services, background mode, AI acceleration etc).
- Collaborate with the technical lead manager and other senior team members as a tech lead, helping to mentor, grow, and develop the team.
